What´s behind the lyrics?

The following audiovisual presentation of some student’s work is keeping with a project where both the Music Department and the Bilingual Section (English Department) have planned to get involved.

We have decided on the song “A Whiter Shade of Pale”, by the British band “Procol Harum”, as the outset of the project.

 The Music Department will be in charge of those aspects related to the song’s musical background, classical influences, as well as those technical features that the presentation itself demands.

The English Department will in turn deal with the song lyrics and translation, literary references, metaphorical connotations, etc.

In this way, we hope to share opinions and reach an agreement about the real sense and meaning of songs that are considered a classical in the history of music.
